The Leaderboard: Best Celebrations In Wrestling

Celebrations. In the wrestling community, fans either love them or hate them. At FloWrestling, we LOVE celebrations. Spontaneous or choreographed, brilliant or amusing, big or small, we love them all.

After scouring thousands and thousands of hours of match footage, we finally compiled THE ESSENTIAL LIST of top celebrations dating back to last season. There are eight of them, and each one is absolutely 100 percent world class.

The Official Wrestling Celebration Leaderboard

8. Bo Nickal - “I Can't Hear You”

Getting a pin over a returning All-American in front of 16,000 of his fans and then telling them you can't hear them: confirmed savage move.

7. Pat Downey - “He's A Baaaad Man”

Nothing says honey badger like wearing a singlet that says BAMF on it at the World Team Trials. After picking up a jaw-dropping throw to pin multiple-time All-American Kyle Crutchmer, Downey let the crowd in Lincoln, NE, know what team he's on.

6. Mark Hall - “Do The Saquon”

Penn State football star Saquon Barkley has established himself as a potential Heisman finalist on the gridiron, and after picking up a pin to open the wrestling season, fellow Penn State star Mark Hall paid tribute to Barkley with his signature touchdown celebration.

5. Ohio State - “Pin Chain”

Picking up a pin on the Division I level is no easy task and should be celebrated. The Buckeyes have raised the bar with some serious bling.

4. Kurt McHenry - “Money Dance”

Trailing by a point with just one second remaining, Kurt McHenry came up $MONEY$ to earn the No. 1 ranking in the country. Soon after, he proceeded to make it rain all over the Snake Pit to everyone’s (except the head official's) delight.

3. Anthony King - “AK Shuffle”

Win a Fargo stop sign and you officially earn yourself the right to break out your own one-of-a-kind dance sequence. King calls his unique dance the AK Shuffle. And we love it.

2. Cory Clark - “Air TERRY”

Cory Clark electrified the wrestling community with his magical run to an NCAA title, but Clark went viral after his beautiful throw of Iowa assistant Terry Brands.

1. Trent "Hoagie" Hidlay - Hoagie

Hidlay was so hungry for the No. 1 ranking that after his overtime win at Who’s #1, he still had enough room in the belly to eat a massive hoagie — right in the middle of the mat.

Our goal throughout the season is to find the best celebrations from around the country and update the leaderboard if a celebration is worthy of cracking the top eight.

If you think you have a celebration worthy of the leaderboard, send it to us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using #FloCelebrations and you just might see your celebration make the leaderboard.
