Today will be non-stop, wall to wall coverage of Super 32, the premier high school tournament in the country. We're going to start that off with some can't miss matchups you should see on day one.

SUPER 32 BRACKETS ON FLOARENA

These potential battles will happen in the round of 32 or before, so I would recommend getting your FloArena alerts set up early in the day.

113: Sam Latona vs Gene Quodala, Round of 128

Latona surprisingly bumped up late. Considering he was only 88lbs as recently as July of last year, it seems he's getting prepared to be Virginia Tech's future 125 pounder. Quodala just made the cut for the freshman big board, and then proceeded to go 1-3 at Journeymen. Don't forget though, he's Kurt McHenry's training partner.

120: Jaret Lane vs Dylan Shawver, Round of 64

Shawver is exactly the kind of kid you don't want to see in your first few matches. He has multiple wins over Ironman champ Gabriel Tagg, and beat Fargo champ Noah Surtin this summer. Lane, a Lehigh commit, will have his hands full in an excellent Pennsylvania vs Ohio dual.

152: Josh Humphreys vs Cole Rees, Round of 64

We don't see the West Virginian Humphreys all that much, but he has made the finals of Powerade twice in a row. Meanwhile, Rees is one of our favorite freshman and comes in No. 15 on the Class of 2021 Big Board. He's a big part of the tremendous incoming class coach Scott Green brought in at Wyoming Seminary.

Humphreys beats No 18 Luke Kemerer in the Powerade semis

152: Aaron Gandara vs Trey Kibe, Round of 64

Two really high upside guys here. Out of Arizona, Gandara is No. 13 on the 2020 Big Board after winning folkstyle nationals and making the Fargo finals this summer. Kibe on the other hand is a rangy freshman who wrestles for the same school and club as Trent Hidlay. Folks in the know in central PA believe Kibe can be a state champ one day.

106: Peyten Kellar vs Andrew Chambal, Round of 32

Chambal may be undersized, but he's also a Fargo finalist three times over and a Cadet Greco world teamer. Kellar wrestles for an underrated program in Nelsonville-York and is making his high school debut here after winning an Ohio middle school title and FloNats crown. Check out his pin in the FloNats final below.

113: Isaac Salas vs Ryan Crookham, Round of 32

Salas is the next star freshman for St. John Bosco, the same school that produced the Valencias and Aaron Pico. Still an 8th grader, Crookham has long been considered one of the next big things in PA wrestling.

120: Anthony Sciotto vs Kai Orine, Round of 32

Always fun when one of your sleepers bumps up a weight and hits another of your sleepers in their third match.

126: Mick Burnett vs Gabe Hixenbaugh, Round of 32

Haven't heard of Hixenbaugh? You probably will soon enough. He's teammates with Sam Latona and has given problems to lanky guys like Burnett before. Burnett is of course the son of legendary coach Erik Burnett and is ripe for a breakout weekend. The winner is just one match away from a quarterfinal appearance Sunday morning.

SUPER 32 LIGHTWEIGHT PREVIEW

132: Dawson Sihavong vs Aidan Medora, Round of 32

Sihavong has fallen out of the weight class rankings, but the Cali state placer can wreck people's days on top, best exemplified by his pin of Beau Bartlett in the folkstyle national finals. Medora is looking for another notch in his belt to improve upon his current ranking of 18th, and as just a sophomore training at Askren Wrestling Academy, if they don't come this weekend, he'll get these type of wins sooner or late.

138: Mitch Moore vs Luka Wick, Round of 32

This one is interesting just to see where Luka Wick is at in his development. Likely not enough to beat No, 2 Moore, but how close can he keep it? His older brothers wrestle for Wisconsin and Wick has always had top notch coaching. A freshman you absolutely have to know in the Golden State.

SUPER 32 MIDDLEWEIGHT PREVIEW

138: Michael Blockhus vs Drew Scharenbrock, Round of 32

Classic Super 32 match of a guy ranked 12th and another ranked 19th, two rounds before the quarterfinals. While not a name on the level of Alex Thomsen or Brody Teske, Blockhus is one of the most beloved wrestlers in the state of Iowa right now.

160: Edmond Ruth vs James Limongi, Round of 32

Another Pennsylvania vs Ohio battle, this one between two top juniors. Ruth is one of the more unorthodox wrestlers you're likely to see this weekend. Limongi was a state champ as sophomore in Ohio this past season.
