Kendric Maple (NWTC) started off with Kazakhstan and won 7-0, before dispatching two Russians in a row by scores of 10-7 and 2-1 to take home the gold medal at 61kg. Maple's go behinds were effective all day, and well timed re-attacks frequently kept his opponents off balance. Watch his finals match here.
Nathan Tomasello (Ohio RTC) finished 3-1 to earn a silver medal at 57kg. It is Tomasello's second international medal, after winning the Ion Corneanu in Romania back in July. He outscored opponents 29-3 heading into the finals, with nearly half of his points coming from his gut wrench.
Dom Bradley (NWTC) won his fourth international medal of the year. A powerful double off the mat gave him four in his bronze medal match to seal it for the 2009 junior world champ.
Tyler Graff (Southeast RTC) finished 2-2 to get fifth at 57kg and BJ Futrell (Pennsylvania RTC) also finished 2-2 to get fifth at 65kg. Richard Perry (Pennsylvania RTC) lost his only match.
