Michigan Releases 2017-18 Schedule
Michigan releases 2017-18 schedule featuring duals with 8 of last year's top 15 teams.
One of this year's most intriguing teams has released its complete 2017-18 schedule. The University of Michigan will certainly be battle-tested by the end of the year, as the Wolverines will wrestle eight of the top 15 teams from last year's NCAA tournament.
They kick off their dual schedule against Arizona State in what should very likely be a top 10 matchup. That match will be hosted at Detroit Catholic Central in Novi, MI, where three current Wolverines wrestled in high school. Also included in UM's non-conference schedule is an away dual at Lehigh and home matches against Oregon State and Central Michigan.
Faithful of the maize and blue will get to see Big Ten foes Penn State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Michigan State at home. The Wolverines will travel to wrestle Indiana, Purdue, Minnesota, and Iowa. Once 2018 hits, Michigan's only non-conference dual is against CMU.
This year's Wolverines team has the look of one contending for a team trophy. They return the fourth most points and are expected to trot out a lineup featuring six guys who have already placed at NCAAs.
