Fargo Finishes Of NCAA's Top 10 Head Coaches
Check out the Fargo placing results for the head coaches whose teams placed in the top 10 of last year's NCAA tournament.
Over the years, we've seen a countless number of current NCAA stars show out on the big stage in Fargo, ND. There's also been a number of guys who made their presence known by having big-time showings at the Cadet and Junior National tournament.
It's no secret that Fargo is where lots of coaches go to check out the best recruits in the country.
But before some of the best NCAA coaches were sitting in the corner, they were out on the mats looking for their own stop signs. I went through the Cadet & Junior Nationals All-American Almanac and pulled out the placing results for the head coaches whose teams placed in the top 10 of last year's NCAA tournament. Surprisingly, only six of the head coaches actually competed in the Cadet and Junior National tournament, which returns to the Fargodome on July 15-22.
In case you need a refresher, here are the final team standings from last year's NCAA tournament.
1. Penn State - 146.5
2. Ohio State - 110.0
3. Oklahoma State - 103.0
4. Iowa - 97.0
5. Missouri - 86.5
6. Virginia Tech - 63.5
7. Minnesota - 62.5
8. Cornell - 60.5
9. Nebraska - 59.5
