Division 1 National Duals Have Been Cancelled
The Division 1 national duals have been cancelled for the 2017-18 season.

One of the most hotly debated topics in college wrestling will not be on the schedule for this coming season. The National Duals for Division 1 have been cancelled for the 2017-18 season, as first reported by Alex Steen at The Open Mat.
The duals format has changed several times over the years, with the most recent incarnation involving the best of the Big Ten against other conference champs and highly ranked teams at the end of the season, before the conference tournaments. That format was used for each of the past two seasons. Prior to that, the duals ran under a tournament format and were contested all on one weekend.
There are not many details at this current time other than that next year's duals at the Division 1 level will not occur. We will provide updates as more information comes to light, particularly on any plans to continue the duals in the 2018-19 season or beyond.
