USA Greco Team Announced For Pan Ams
USA Wrestling has announced the Greco-Roman Team being sent to Brazil for the 2017 Pan Am championships
USA Wrestling has announced the Greco-Roman team they will be sending to this year's Pan Am championships. This year's continental event is being held at the Pan American Judo Center in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil.
With the recent changes to seeding at the world championships, this year's Pan Ams will carry even more importance than ever before. The team heading to Brazil features two Olympians in Ben Provisor and Robby Smith, and two members of last year's junior world team in G'Angelo Hancock and Kamal Bey. They compete on May 5th, the first day of the event.
Also included are Ryan Mango and Hayden Tuma, who met in the 59kg finals at the Senior Nationals in Vegas in December, as well as last year's 66kg Olympic Team Trials winner in RaVaughn Perkins. Geordan Speiller will go at 80kg; he is the highest ranked American in UWW's April rankings. Bey (18th at 75kg), Hancock (18th at 98kg) and Smith (20th at 130kg) are also currently ranked in the world.
