Top 10 NHSCA National Matches

© Amber Searls-USA TODAY Sports Zack Donathan

NHSCA Nationals witnessed some awesome battles at the beach this past weekend. We saw upsets, clutch wins, and straight dominance at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. The gauntlet of wrestlers that our champs had to go through to win their titles was incredible. Let's take a look at some of the best matches from this year's event.

Denton Spencer, GA vs. Navonte Demison, CA
It was a photo finish between Demison and Spencer. In the last few seconds of the bout, Demison came literally inches away from getting the win.

Sam Latona, AL vs. Jacob Moran, IN
In the final seconds of the match, Latona's pressure proved to get the best of Moran. Two stalling calls in the final minute of regulation sent the bout into OT, where Latona collected the winning takedown. Watch match here!

Edmound Ruth, PA vs. Jackson Turley, VA
Another photo finish in this one. Ruth came from behind and proved that the saying is true; if there's time on the clock, there's time to score.

Kai Bele, FL vs. Domonic Mata, CA
Probably the wildest scramble of the finals. Just when you thought that someone was going to come out on top, the action continued. This one will have you on the edge of your seat. Watch match here!

Denton Spencer, GA vs. Zack Donathan, OH
Donathan is one clutch individual. It was a tough battle with Spencer, who already had one upset under his belt and was looking to pick up another. But Donathan had other plans.

Gabe Miller, PA vs. Connor McGonagle, NH
When you've already dominated everyone else, it's only right that you keep the ball rolling in the finals. Watch Miller put an exclamation on a dominant title run to pick up the sophomore national title. Watch match here!

Jace Koelzer, KS vs. Nic Aguilar, CA
An incredible performance for Koelzer to get the upset win over No. 5 Aguilar.

Jacori Teemer, NY vs. Cole Matthews, PA
In a match where both guys have superior "scrambleability," it was the dude from New York who prevailed in an action-packed match.

Stephan Glasgow, NJ vs. Kyle Jasenski, NY
Glasgow will give you that work; footwork that is. His incredible quickness and athleticism combined with his power makes the Rutgers recruit a very dangerous man. Watch him work in the senior national finals. Watch match here!

Gavin Nye, CA vs. Sammy Evans, TN
Watch out for the big boys. Nye records his fourth fall of the tournament to take home the 285-pound senior national title. Watch match here!
