There are few competitions that USA Wrestling places a higher priority on than the Freestyle World Cup. For executive director Rich Bender, it is his personal favorite event, in no small part due to the atmosphere in places like Kermanshah, Iran, where this year's iteration is being held on Thursday and Friday.

Iowa State released their wrestling schedule for the 2019-20 season. Going into his third year as head coach of the Cyclones, Kevin Dresser has crafted a slate of competitions packed with power programs. Highlights include the annual intrastate rivalry with the Hawkeyes in Ames on November 24 as well as a home dual with Oklahoma State January 26.
