In 2011, Indiana stud Jarred Brooks ran a gauntlet at Super 32 to not only capture the belt, but the #1 spot in the nation.

From Warsaw, Indiana, Brooks beat current Michigan Wolverine, Zac Hall, in the quarters, FloNats and Super 32 Champ Sam Krivus in the semifinals, and, in the finals video above, eventual NCAA Champion Nathan Tomasello.

In March the following year, at Dapper Dan, he beat Pennsylvania's Billy Rappo.

Brooks signed with Indiana Tech before making his way to Notre Dame College where he placed in a few open tournaments. He then turned his attention to MMA, and hasn't looked back.

Undefeated at 12-0, Brooks was to make his UFC debut tonight against veteran Ian McCall, the 6th-ranked 125lber.

But, McCall, who has a history of not making the cage at scheduled fights, backed out yet again Saturday afternoon, citing illness.

We'll update you with Brooks' next assignment.
