Top 11 Matches Of The Weekend
It was an exciting weekend of wrestling. We got some new world team members at the 2016 Bill Farrell International and had a number of the best college wrestlers in the country go head-to-head at a number of different tournaments. Out of all matches there were a few that really stuck out as our top matches from the entire weekend.

1. Nahshon Garrett vs Cody Brewer
In an NCAA semifinal rematch, Cody Brewer got some revenge as he handed Garrett the same fate he received at the national tournament. But it all came at the end of a scoring frenzy.

2. Cody Brewer vs Shelton Mack
Shots were fired early as a Mack and Brewer lit up the scoreboard in the first round of the Bill Farrell Open. Mack really tested Brewer who narrowly escaped to advance to the next round.

3. Nick Lee vs Alan Waters
Outside of the opening seconds the former Mizzou All-American was no match for the high school senior. Waters struck first, but all it seemed to do was ignite a fire under Nick Lee, who proceeded to put on a point-scoring clinic.

4. Jimmy Kennedy vs Isaiah Martinez
Resiliency was on full display, but it wouldn't be enough to get IMar past Jimmy Kennedy and into the challenge tournament finals against JO. It was close but in the end, Kennedy would get the job done.

5. Isaiah Martinez vs Kellen Russell
In a battle of two-time NCAA champs it was all IMAR. Russell fought as hard as he could, but was unable to score a point.

6. Nico Megaludis vs Khasankhusein Badrudinov
This match is brought to you by the letter "B" for "broken." Nico was all over the legs of the Russian three-time Junior World medalist. In the end, Nico gives him a nice little parting gesture.

7. Jordan Oliver vs Jimmy Kennedy
Was this the best JO that we have seen in a while? Quite possibly. The two-time NCAA champ was extremely offensive in the challenge tournament finals as he racked up some big points to earn his spot in the best-of-three finals against World Bronze medalist James Green.

8. Kamal Bey vs Karim Hawash
The human highlight reel was at it again. Bey was in a bit of trouble early when Hawash came through with a huge throw, but after that it was all Bey, who dominated his way to his first senior level title.

9. Zahid Valencia vs Ethan Ramos
A scoring mishap became the main focus late in the match between Ramos and Valencia. Note: Pay close attention (to everything) during the match to catch the plot thickener at the end.

10. Alex Dieringer vs Bekzod Abdurakhmonov
After years of folkstyle focus, Alex Dieringer is really getting back to business on the freestyle circuit in a big way. The three-time NCAA champ raised a few eyebrows as he came out on top of a convincing win over World Bronze Medalist Bekzod Abdurakhmonov.

11. Sarah Hildebrandt vs Whitney Conder
Hildebrandt finished off her OW award winning run with a win over former world team member Whitney Conder in the finals with a pair of one-point wins to win the spot at 55kg.
