Anthony Mantanona Verbals To Oklahoma
Anthony Mantanona is heading to Oklahoma to wrestle for coach Lou Rosselli and the Sooners.
Lou Rosselli continues to reel in big-time recruits as Anthony Mantanona tweeted out his verbal commitment to wrestle for Oklahoma. The senior from California's Palm Desert High School is the No. 42 overall recruit in the country.
Mantanona is the fifth Top-100 recruit in the class of 2017 to verbal to the Sooners. Joining Mantanona in Norman will be Dom Demas, Tanner Litterell, Kyle Lawson, and Jake Woodley. The addition of Mantanona solidifies the run of middleweights the Sooners hope to roll out over the next few years.
Mantanona winning FloNationals this past spring:
The Golden State stud heads into his final high school season as the ninth-ranked 170-pounder in the country. He has placed fourth and second at the California state tournament over the past two years. He won FloNationals in March and a junior Fargo Greco title in July.
