In just its second year of existence, Night of Conflict has established itself as one of the premier high school duals in the country. The dual-style event touts a clash of elite wrestlers: one from Iowa and one from a contrasting state. This "Iowa vs. the nation" mentality has been uniquely captured, and Iowa City's Carver Hawkeye Arena provides an outstanding atmosphere. This year, the card features matchups of two nationally ranked opponents guaranteed to be a great show.

If you can't be there, watch all of the action LIVE HERE on FloWrestling. Wrestling begins at 7pm CT.

No. 5 Anthony Madrigal (IL) vs. No. 6 Kyran Hagan (MO)

One of the nation's top juniors taking on one of the nation's top seniors. Anthony Madrigal heads to Carver sitting at No. 25 on the Junior Big Board while Kyran Hagan sits at No. 66 on the Senior Big Board.

Madrigal made waves last summer when he stormed to the Fargo finals before falling to Vito Arujau. He followed that up last season with a state runner-up finish to Austin Gomez. Madrigal stayed out this summer going undefeated at Junior Duals, including a win over current Iowa wrestler Brock Rathbun.

Hagan heads to Carver with an impressive national resume of his own. Hagan was a double Fargo All-American last summer, a NHSCA Junior Nationals runner-up, and owns wins over Alex Thomsen, Theorius Robison, and Jackson Henson.

Both of these guys are extremely funky, so expect some high-level scrambles Friday night.

Watch Madrigal take out Iowa wrestler Brock Rathbun:

No. 3 Jared Campbell (OH) vs. No. 4 Cohlton Schultz (CO)

Jared Campbell burst onto the scene last spring after he beat Matt Stencel and then followed that up by storming his way to a FloNational title. Cohlton Schultz has been a mainstay on the national scene since he was in junior high school. The big man from Colorado is a multiple-time Fargo champion and was a cadet Greco world team member.

These two have contrasting styles as Campbell will fire off shot after shot, and Schultz prefers to work from underhooks and upper-body ties. Something will have to give in Carver.

Watch Campbell win a FloNational title:

No. 4 at 145 Kaden Gfeller (OK) vs. No. 4 at 138 Jaime Hernandez (IL)

Kaden Gfeller will head to Carver on Friday night looking to rebound from his Who's #1 loss to Jarod Verkleeren. The Oklahoma State commitment is a three-time Oklahoma state champion and Fargo champion. Waiting on Gfeller is North Carolina pledge Jaime Hernandez. Hernandez is a three-time Fargo All-American and was the Cadet World Team Trials runner-up to Yianni Diakomihalis.

Hernandez stays in extremely good position and is difficult to score on, often taking advantage of his opponents mistakes. On the other hand, Gfeller is known for his wide-open, aggressive, attacking style. The clash of styles should make for a fun one Friday night.

Watch Hernandez take out Brayton Lee:

No. 14 Joel Shapiro (IA) vs. No. 17 Danny Braunagel (IL)

Joel Shapiro enters Night of Conflict looking to pick up where he left off. Shapiro picked up a third-place finish at the Iowa state tournament and then followed that up with an All-American finish at Fargo this summer. Braunagel will also be looking to capitalize after a big season. A year ago, he was an Illinois state runner-up and finished fifth at Fargo.

Watch Braunagel in action:

No. 16 AJ Pedro (MA) vs. No. 18 Max Lyon (IA)

AJ Pedro heads to Carver looking to continue his hot streak after claiming All-American honors at Fargo in one of the toughest weights of the tournament. Pedro was also fourth at the Beast of the East last year.

Purdue commitment Max Lyon comes to Carver looking to rebound from his performance at Fargo where he failed to place. Despite not placing, Lyon is a wrestler who can beat anyone on any day. At Junior Duals, Lyon notched wins over Jelani Embree and Jeremy Thomas but also suffered losses to two unranked opponents.

Lyon is known for lighting up the scoreboard, so expect fireworks when he meets Pedro on Friday night.
