To say that Mark Hall is impressive may be true, but it might be an understatement of how incredible he truly is.
With his dominant win in the 170-pound state finals, Hall became the first Minnesota High School wrestler to win six straight state titles as he capped off his high school career. On his way to the finals he recorded two pins and a technical fall before adding his final tech of the night in 2:50 over Hastings’ Austin Eichmann. He also became the first ever six-time sectional champion in MSHSL history.
Now, Hall will be taking his impressive resume to Penn State where he will somehow add more fire power to an already loaded squad.
But we would be remissed if we didn’t if we didn’t take a look at the incredible wins that “The Prodigy” has collected.
It’s Hall’s impressive resume along with incredible accomplishment of his sixth title that make him our FloWrestler of the Week presented by Cliff Keen.
Jack Mueller, Trinity Christian: Became the 11th wrestler to win four consecutive National Prep titles. Mueller finished his senior season undefeated as he defeated Blair’s Zach Sherman in the 126-pound Prep National finals.
Andrew Merola, Blair: Colleected three straight overtime rideout wins, including his first over #6-Eric Hong, to win the 145-pound National Prep title.
Jacobe Smith, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M: Went back-to-back as he claimed his second straight NJCAA title with three pins and a major in the finals.
