1st Period:  Underway at 125.  Shot right away from Edelen and Gilman goes lefty headlock!  Looking for the fall! Somehow Edelen escapes and it's 6-1 Gilman.  TD Gilman Makes it 8-1 now 8-2.  Snapdown and pancake for Gilman.  Edelen in big trouble again but once again escapes.  14-3 just like that.  No graphics on stream, so I'm doing my best with scores. 16-3, now 16-4 after that td.  18-4 now for Gilman.  2 Ka-BOOMS already.  Warning for stalling against Edelen.  Another TD for Gilman and there's the tech!

133 - #2 Cory Clark, Iowa vs #4 Zane Richards, Illinois

1st Period: It's happening!  Clark v. Richards.  Cory missed the end of Midlands so there was some speculation.  Handfighting early here.  Zane getting to his trusty right side underhook.  Clark clears.  Underhook to a snapdown for Zane but Clark just avoids giving up 2.  Richards in on a single leg looking to come out the back door.  Clark locked around the crotch.  Zane gets the far ankle and there's the 2! Escape Clark makes it 2-1. Low single for Clark but Richards pulls him up with underhooks.  Collar and inside control for Clark.  Richards clears.  Period ends 2-1 Zane.

2nd Period: Clark takes bottom. Standup Clark and he turns and cuts for 1.  2-2 now the score.  RT not a factor.  2 on 1 for Clark but Zane doing a great job clearing.  Snap for Richards.  Clark up to his feet.  Blood time Richards. Back to action.  The match ebbs and flows on who is dictating pace in the ties.  2nd ends 2-2.

3rd Period: Richards takes bottom.  Short sit by Richards and it's 3-2 Zane.  RT not a factor. Cory picking up his pace a bit.  Firing off attacks and backing Richards out of bounds.  Action call. Clark once again charging forward.  There's the stall warning against Richards.  Clark is relentless looking for more.  Richards doing a nice job holding on in the ties.  Single leg fired by Clark but Zane doing a good job but there's the stall call.  3-3!  OT TIME

1st Period: Shot by Ervin, Carton pulls him up.  Low shot by Ervin for 2!  Ervin has a decent ride going but there's the escape.  2-1 Ervin.  Ervin keeps attacking. Another shot by Ervin but Carton defends.  Carton getting to ties, trying to move Ervin and he's in deep on a single leg.  Switches to a head outside finish.  Nothing yet.  Very close to 2 but needs to get his other arm around but can't do it as Ervin rolls him through.  Ervin in on a shot late but time runs out.  2-1 after 1 for Ervin.

2nd Period: Ervin takes bottom. He escapes and it's 3-1 Ervin.  Front headlock for Carton.  He looks cow catcher but Ervin bails out to just give up the 2.  3-3 but Ervin on a leg looking for a reversal. Stalemate.  Ervin up and out to take a 4-3 lead.  Shot by Ervin but Carton steps out of it.  End of 2nd.

3rd Period: Carton takes bottom. Ervin drops down to a leg and returns.  Carton fighting up.  Ervin returns again.  Out of bounds.  Riding time at 25 for Ervin. Tripod stand up and it's 4-4.  Shot by Ervin and go behind attempt by Carton.  Still all square. Warning against Carton for stalling. Stall point for Carton.  Trying to counter a shot but runs out of time.  Carton wins by 1.

149 - #2 Brandon Sorensen, Iowa vs Kyle Langenderfer, Illinois

1st Period: Langenderfer trying to work off of elbow control but can't score.  Double by Sorensen but Langenderfer counters.  Sorensen shoots him off the mat.  Action call.  Single leg for Sorensen and it's an easy finish.  2-0 lead.  Escape for Langenderfer makes it 2-1.  Single again for Sorensen and there's 2 more.  4-1 Sorenson.  He rides out as the period ends.

2nd Period: Langenderfer takes bottom. Sorensen riding with a wrist.  Stall warning against Langenderfer.  Escape Langenderfer but Sorensen immediately shoots and scores again to make it 6-2.  Sorensen puts a wrist on the back and there's a stall point to make it 7-2. 2:38 RT for Sorensen as the period ends.  

3rd Period: Sorenen chooses bottom.  He escapes and it's 8-2. Another single and another finish for Sorensen and it's 10-2.  He gives up the escape to make it 10-3. Double leg by Sorensen but switches to a single for 2 more.  Now 12-3 Sorensen.  Wrist on the back again with RT locked.  Another stall point.  13-3.  Restart after going out of bounds.  Escape Langenderfer but Sorensen wants one more TD and he'll get it.  16-4 final

1st Period: Sick single to a double.  2-0 I-Mar.  Cooper up to his feet and I-Mar kicks him free for the escape.  2-1.  Same shot same finish and it's 4-1. Another stand up and there's a nice mat return by Martinez.  Cooper up again and it's 4-2 after the escape.  I-Mar nearly scores on the edge but runs out of real estate.  Left side Hi-C and it's 6-2 Martinez.  Roll through tilt for 4 and it's 10-2.  Stand up by Cooper but Martinez is poised for the rideout.  Period ends 11-2 (I don't know where the 11th point came from).  

2nd Period: Cooper takes bottom.  Escape given and it's 11-3 I-Mar. Easy counter td for Martinez makes it 13-3. Another escape and another td.  15-4.  Cooper warned for stalling.  Stand up and there's the escape  15-5. High crotch again for 2 for I-Mar.  17-5. Another tilt for IMAR and it's 21-5!  Tech fall for I-MAR.

165 - Patrick Rhoads, Iowa vs #4 Steven Rodrigues, Illinois

1st Period: High crotch right away by Rodrigues but Rhoads defends.  Another high crotch and there's the 2 for Rodrigues.  Stand up by Rhoads to make it 2-1. Rhoads dinged for Stalling.  Period ends. 

2nd Period: Rodrigues takes bottom and escapes.  3-1. He immediately takes a shot.  Defended by Rhoads. Another TD for Rodrigues and it's 5-1.  Escape Rhoads and there's two more.  7-2.  

3rd Period: Rhoads takes bottom.  Escape and now it's 7-3. RT at 55 for Rodrigues.  Another shot by Rodrigues and another finish.  He looks quite sharp.  9-4 after the Rhoads escape.  Another td at the buzzer and it's a 12-4 major with riding time!

1st Period: Bummer, no Brunson.  Reineman takes a bad shot and Meyer gets an easy go behind. 2-0 Meyer. Escape makes it 2-1 Meyer.  Single leg quick finish and it's 4-1.  Escape for Reineman and it's now 4-2.  2 on 1 to the single for Meyer and there's the TD.  6-2 after 1 for Meyer.

2nd Period: Reineman takes bottom. Escape makes it 6-3 but Meyer is in his face.  Single leg and 2 to make it 8-3.  Meyer lets him free.  Cow catcher for Meyer but Reineman bails out for 2 more.  Escape and there's another TD and escape.  It's 14-6 now.  Now 16-7 after another escape and TD.  Reineman has no answers.  Period ends.

3rd Period: Meyer takes bottom. Escape immediately and it's 17-7.  Meyer giving him no room to breatch and there's an easy counter td.  19-7, now 19-8 after the escape.  Shot by Reineman gives Meyer 2 more.  Another 2 and it's 23-9.  Meyer can ride out for the tech.  That's just what he does and it's 24-9 final for the tech.

184 - #8 Sammy Brooks, Iowa vs #18 Jeff Koepke, Illinois

1st Period: Brooks gets his hands on Koepke early.  Now to his underhook. He throws the hook by to the single.  Whizzer by Koepke.  Brooks building up.  Now up to his feet with it and looking back trip and there's the 2.  2-0 Brooks.  Brooks riding and following the hips well.  He returns Koepke.  They go out of bounds, restart.  Koepke keeps getting to a sit position but can't improve from there.  Another return for Brooks.  Rideout.

2nd Period: Brooks takes bottom. Quick escape makes it 3-0 Brooks.  Brooks has fired off a few attacks but can't get a leg lock.  Period ends.

3rd Period: Koepke takes bottom.  This went well last time around. Brooks keeps returning.  Koepke escapes and it's 3-1.  Koepke in on a shot but they're out of bounds. RT has to be close to locked if not already locked in for Brooks effectively making it 4-1.  Shot by Koepke but Brooks counters.  Stall warning against Brooks but he'll get an easy go behind for 2 more.  6-1 final.

1st Period: Stutter fakes from Lee.  Shot by Burak and he finishes.  2-0 Burak.  Stand up Lee and it's 2-1. TD Burak and escape and it's 4-2 after 1. 

2nd Period: Lee takes bottom and escapes.  4-3, but right away Burak gets a TD to make it 6-3, now 6-4. Stall warning against Lee as Burak scores. Injury time for Lee. Period will end 6-4 in favor of Burak after both guys trade a few attacks.  

3rd Period: Escape Burak.  7-4, now TD makes it 9-4 and 9-5 with another escape.  TD Burak and it's 11-5.  11-6 and there's the stall warning against Lee to make it 12-6.  And another one to make it 13-6. That's the final!

285 - #8 Sam Stoll, Iowa vs #20 Brooks Black, Illinois

1st Period:  Underway for the final bout.  Sam Stoll has been red hot this year with only losses to top 5 guys.  Black coming out very active looking for a go behind.  Lots of level changes from Brooks Black. Collar tie for Stoll.  Period ends. Nothing going on.

2nd Period: Stoll takes bottom and Black has a pretty tough ride going here.  Escape for Stoll makes it 1-0.  43 seconds of RT for Black.  

3rd Period: Black takes bottom. Breakdown by Stoll and he's got Black flattened out.  Stall warning against Black.  He sits out but Stoll recovers.  He's going to ride him out and there's the win.  2-0 Stoll.
