What 2 Watch 4 - Mega Duals And Opens On Tap

What a slate of action coming our way. I hope the NFL ratings don't take too big of a hit Sunday with all the D1 fans watching Northeast Duals and the Iowa/OSU tape delay! In all seriousness this could be the first of a few "mega-weekends" where we'll have some guys make huge moves and see some massive rankings shifts. Many of these events will be live on Flowrestling!
Thursday, November 12:
Northern Colorado at Arizona State
184-We’ll see which direction Northern Colorado goes at 184. As it stands we could see either Nikko Reyes or Dylan Gabel against Blake Stauffer of Arizona State
Friday, November 13:
Virginia at Ohio State
133-Johnni DiJulius will look to keep his edge over George DiCamillo at 133 pounds.
174-Bo Jordan (I assume) will be taking on Fox Baldwin the True Freshman from UVA. Baldwin is a talent but Bo will likely punish the young buck.
197-How for real is Mark Martin at 197? We may find out here against Zach Nye. Martin looked great at the EMU Open. We’ll see if TOSU sends him out attached or not as a redshirt is not yet ruled out (as far as I know) for Mark.
Lock Haven at Penn State
141-All Americans will collide when Dan Neff is challenged by #1 Jimmy Gulibon.
Saturday, November 14:
North Dakota State hosting Bison Open LIVE ON FLO
Minnesota frequently sends their redshirts (and more) to the Bison Open. We’ll see who shows up in what could be a tough field in Fargo.
Oklahoma State at Iowa
I go into much more detail of the match ups here in my superdual breakdown.
Sunday, November 15:
Michigan State Open Featuring: Appalachian State, Bucknell, Central Michigan, Navy, Northern Illinois, Northwestern, Ohio, Ohio State and Wisconsin LIVE ON FLO!
We'll get to see some stud Freshman such as Ke-Shawn Hayes and Jesse Webb take the mat in the Freshman/Sophomore division.
125-Paul Petrov will be the man to beat here. He'll be challenged by Brent Fleetwood, Austin Assad and Garrison White.
133-A very deep group of talent with Dom Malone, Grim Gonzalez, Keegan Moore, Javier Gasca and Jaydin Clayton in the mix!
141-The 141 field will be chasing Zach Horan it looks like. Steve Bleise, Mike Longo, Danny Sabatello and Jameson Oster could contend. Don't sleep on Michigan 141's Malik Amine and Zehlin Storr.
149-I don't see anyone stopping red hot Collin Heffernan in this bracket.
157-Luke Smith looks like the highest ranked guy here but he'll have some real talent pursuing him with Bryce Brill, Spartak Chino, David Peters-Logue and a blast from the past, Cam Tessari!
165-Love this bracket! Johnny Sebastian and Logan Massa are both entered! Chad Welch, Seth Liegel and Connor Flynn will add some depth here.
174-Mike Ottinger, Nick Kee, Dylan Wisman, Ricky Robertson, Jadaen Bernstein and Mitch Sliga make this likely the deepest weight of the entire tournament! The guy to beat here will be Cody Walters from Ohio.
184-Ohio State's starter could emerge here as a struggling Kenny Courts as entered as well as Jack Rozema who beat him in the wrestle off. Mat Miller and Ryan Christensen could do well here as well.
197-Mark Martin was dynamite last week at Binghamton. He will likely do the same to this field as well.
285-More Ohio State dynamics as Nick Tavanello and Thomas Haines are both entered here. Denzel Dejournette may be the guy to beat here. We'll get our first look at Northwestern Freshman Zack Chakonis as well!
Journeyman/ASICS Northeast Duals - LIVE ON FLO!
Lock Haven vs. Nebraska at Troy, NY, 9:20 AM
141-Dan Neff will take on Nebraska’s super talented Anthony Abidin.
Army West Point vs. North Carolina State
157-Russell Parsons of Army will take on Tommy Gannt from NC State. This features two guys with limitless gas tanks.
Minnesota vs. North Carolina
133-Will Joey Ward be able to make weight for UNC? If so he’ll take on Minnesota’s Sam Brancale.
141-Freshman hammer Tommy Thorn will take on #2 Evan Henderson.
Lehigh vs. Minnesota
125-Skyler Petry will take on Darian Cruz. Don’t be surprised for a tight match here. Petry is right on the cusp of being ranked.
Michigan vs. West Virginia
125-Two All Americans will hit when Connor Youtsey takes on NCAA finalist Zeke Moisey.
157-Big spot for Dylan Cottrell against All American Brian Murphy of Michigan.
Nebraska vs. Oregon State
125-Two very equal light weights collide when Tim Lambert takes on Ronnie Bresser. Bresser fell to his teammate last week, so lets see if those struggles continue.
197-Cody Crawford of Oregon State will take on Aaron Studebaker of Nebraska.
285-Amar Dhesi will get a spot to shine against Nebraska big man Collin Jensen.
Oklahoma vs. Rutgers
Some asked if we could see an Anthony Ashnault v. NCAA Champ Cody Brewer match here. I don’t know if we will. Brewer wrestled at 133 in the wrestle offs earlier so I expect Cody will be down from here on out. If I’m wrong, I’m ELATED to watch he and Ashnault battle.
285-Billy Smith will take on Ross Larson in a battle of ranked heavyweights.
Lehigh vs. Nebraska
125-Tim Lambert takes on Darian Cruz in what should be an extremely tight match.
133-Eric Montoya came on hot at the end of last year and will be taking on the struggling Mason Beckman.
141-Two top 10 guys will collide when Randy Cruz takes on Anthony Abidin.
149-Laike Gardner will look to get back on track again but will have his hands full with Jake Sueflohn.
157-Tyler Berger will have an opportunity to climb the rankings if he were able to upset All American Mitch Minotti. Minotti is known for an occasional letdown match.
165-Despite the rankings disparity, I think Ryan Preisch will be very competitive against Austin Wilson.
184-Huge one. Two All Americans will collide when TJ Dudley takes on NCAA Finalist Nate Brown.
285-Doug Vollaro will take on Collin Jensen. This is going to be a fantastic dual!
Minnesota vs. North Carolina State
141-Another big spot for Tommy Thorn as he’ll take on NCAA Semi Finalist Kevin Jack of NC State.
285-Two very active heayweights will collide when 2-time NCAA Champ Nick Gwiazdowski takes on All American Michael Kroells.
North Carolina vs. Rutgers
133-If Joey Ward is here he’ll take on the very stingy Anthony Giraldo of Rutgers.
141-WOW! Maybe the match I’m looking most forward to, Anthony Ashnault takes on Evan Henderson. That’s all that needs said!
165-If Ethan Ramos is back, he’ll take on Rutgers Anthony Perrotti.
Northern Iowa vs. Oregon State
125-Dylan Peters takes on Ronnie Bresser in this spot. Expect fireworks.
285-More fireworks should be expected when Amar Dhesi takes on Blaize Cabell.
Hofstra vs. Michigan at Troy, NY, 3:15 PM
Northern Iowa vs. Rutgers
285-Blaize Cabell will be challenged by Billy Smith of Rutgers
Oregon State vs. West Virginia
125-Ronnie Bresser takes on NCAA finalist Zeke Moisey. Both guys have very challenging matches scheduled.
Cal Poly, Drexel, Edinboro, Stanford at CSU Bakersfield's Roadrunner Open
I’m ready to take a look at Pat Lugo against the competition. I don’t know if Stanford will send a lot of their starters here considering they just wrestled at the Hokie Open.
Old Dominion at Virginia
133-I am curious to watch Emilio Saavedra take on George DiCamillo.
149-Don’t sleep on TJ Miller against All American Lenny Richardson. Miller has won this All-Jersey battle before.
Penn State at Virginia Tech
125-Joey Dance will battle Nico Megaludis in a battle of title contending 25 pounders. Megaludis beat Joey 2 years ago at NCAA’s.
133-All American Jordan Conaway will be favored against a tough Kevin Norstrem.
141-Two Western PA studs will collide when Jimmy Gulibon and Solomon Chishko tangle at 141.
149-Zain Retherford will be a substantial favorite against Sal Mastriani.
157-Maybe the match of the night when Nick Brascetta takes on Freshman Jason Nolf. Huge match for rankings as well as this dual.
165-Who Penn State sends out is still possibly in question. They’ll be challenged by True Freshman David McFadden.
174-Big spot for Bo Nickal who will take on #2 Zach Epperly. I’m expecting a low scoring bout with upset potential.
184-More PA on PA crime when Matt McCutcheon takes on Zack Zavatsky.
197-#1 Morgan McIntosh will be a big favorite against Jared Haught of Virginia Tech.
285-Jan Johnson will have his hands more than full against #2 Ty Walz.
Thursday, November 12:

184-We’ll see which direction Northern Colorado goes at 184. As it stands we could see either Nikko Reyes or Dylan Gabel against Blake Stauffer of Arizona State
