WNO Announcement: 195-Pound Match-up Set
Nick Reenan will never back down from a challenge. It’s just not in his nature to pass anything up.
The crazy thing about it is that he’s dominating his opponents each time he steps on the mat and size never matters. So with his ascent to 195-pounds this season it’s no question that he’s the top guy in the country at the weight. His biggest test however, lies ahead, and it will not be easy when he faces Sammy Colbray at Who’s #1 on October 17th.
Colbray is a very strong wrestler that can attack with the best of ‘em. He’s going to be a lot for Reenan to handle in his 195-pound debut. Reenan doubled up on Fargo titles at 182 this summer for the second time in his career as Colbray was a runner-up in Freestyle and Greco at 195.
The interesting part of this bout will be if Reenan has gotten his weight up and will be able to handle the 13-pound jump. There’s no question that he has the strength but the drastic weight change can take a toll on him. Outside of that, this match can be super entertaining because both guys have pretty great offense and aren’t afraid to go big with throws since they both have pretty great Greco backgrounds.
Can Reenan make the jump and prove he’s deserving of his top ranking? Or will Colbray give him a rude welcome to his new weight class?
