Brandon Slay Makes Huge Coaching Impact
Brandon Slay has had his share of success as a competitor so it’s no surprise that he’s been a pretty impactful coach.
Slay has so much insight that it’s tough not to perk up a bit when he spits out those nuggets of knowledge.
The relationships he's made with some of our best wrestlers, like Mark Hall, Spencer Lee, Gable Steveson and Jarod Verkleeren, who have a whole lot more winning in their futures, are pretty great to see. Slay’s gems of wisdom have clearly seeped into their young minds and the impact is pretty clear.
Even though he didn't make the trip to Bosnia for the Cadet World Championships because he was welcoming his new daughter to the world, it didn't stop him from coaching. After watching each guy, he would send them tweets with instruction.
Slay has truly laid a great foundation for our young wrestlers. They are listening to his advice and really appreciate his guidance.
