Lehigh is making sure the biggest stud in their backyard isn’t going anywhere.
Jordan Wood, who comes in at #5 on the Flo Junior Big Board has verbally committed to be a Mountain Hawk. Wood, who was 2nd at the Cadet World Championships this Summer projects as a heavyweight at the next level. The 2013 Super 32 Champion is a 2 time PA State runner up for Boyertown High School.
Jordan had this to say about the decision to wrestle at Lehigh:
"I chose Lehigh because everything seems perfect there, the staff and the wrestlers are awesome and you can't beat the education. I's a perfect training opportunity for me. I'm close with the coaches already and I feel at home there. It was tough turning down schools like Oklahoma State, NC State, and Wisconsin, but I felt the most home and confident with my choice of Lehigh. Plus it'll be nice having my home town supporting me 40 minutes down the road.”
Congrats to Jordan and Lehigh.
