Anyone else still trying to catch their breath after that week of Junior World action? Me too. Our athletes battled and wrestled with pride throughout. Though no golds are coming back to the states we are bringing home 10 medals across all 3 styles. 20% of those medals are because of one man. Adam Coon. Coon qualified and competed in both Greco Roman and Freestyle winning Bronze in each. Coon was a dominant force in matches won and very narrowly lost his Freestyle semi to rival Amarveer Dhesi of Canada. Coon has said before he has a hard time deciding which style he prefers. When you have World class results, it’s not hard to figure out why. For his efforts throughout the week at Junior Worlds, Adam Coon has been named the Flowrestler of the Week!

Other Flowrestler of the Week Nominees:

Aaron Pico: Pico navigated a tough field to make the JR World Finals. Aaron fell in the Gold medal match 9-2 to bring home a silver medal.

Joey McKenna: Joey put all his tools on full display in Croatia. His positioning, attacks and top work earned him a World Silver Medal.

Gabe Dean: Not a bad debut for international competition, eh? Dean looked excellent from start to finish bringing home Bronze at 84KG.

Thomas Gilman: He continues to climb the ladder for international success. After coming up short of a medal a year ago, Gilman wound up with World Bronze.

Kyle Snyder: Though Snyder wasn’t able to repeat, he looked great throughout the tournament. Kyle ran into an absolute monster in Gogaev in the quarterfinals and wrestled back for Bronze.

Kayla Miracle: The pinning machine Miracle wound up with World Bronze with pins in all matches won!

Marina Doi: Doi also came home with World Bronze after going 2-1.

Victoria Francis: Francis earned a Bronze medal in grand fashion with a 16-6 technical fall in the Bronze Medal bout!
