Wrestler Of The Week-Ian Miller
Wrestler Of The Week-Ian Miller
What a weekend. Amazing performances after amazing performances. National champs falling like crazy, breakout performances and more. It was an amazing weekend in Akron. Sifting through the madness that was this weekend it was easy to find prolific performers, but tough to put your finger on one guy.
Then I remembered Ian Miller. The Golden Flash All American did it all. He was entered in a great field and he was beyond dominant. I sat there jaw agape after he pinned Caldwell not once, but twice. I haven’t seen Caldwell pinned once in my life, much less twice. Not to mention the fact that Miller teched, Bo Jordan who many think is coming into next year as a title contender right out of the gate. Not only was Miller great, he was entertaining, he goes for it and lets it fly. People who are there won’t forget what he did. For his efforts Ian Miller is the Flo Wrestler of the Week.
Other Flo Wrestler of the Week Nominees:
Anthony Ashnault-The True Freshman from Rutgers announced himself in a big way when he knocked off Anthony Abidin, Jason Tsirtsis and Michael Mangrum to take the title at 65 KG.
Adam Coon-Utterly dominant all the way getting revenge on a few occassions. At first he teched Nick Tavanello who beat him at Big 10’s, then he dominated All American Austin Marsden who beat him out for a spot on the Junior World Team a year ago.
Spencer Lee-Gave up one point all tournament long en route to a Cadet title at 50KG. #superfreak
Daton Fix-Fix managed to knock off Nick Suriano 1-1. Say what you want about the score, it’s a big win regardless. (P.S. thanks criteria!)
