Maybe it was only a matter of time.

We all saw the talent with Wisconsin’s Isaac Jordan. We knew he was right there. In the last weekend of regular season competition, Isaac Jordan officially broke through. It was Friday night when Isaac knocked off #1 James Green of Nebraska. The wrestling world’s eyes immediately shifted to Isaac’s Sunday showdown with National Champion Derek St. John. Jordan didn’t disappoint and knocked DSJ off with a 3-1 win. For his excellence, Isaac Jordan has been named Brute Wrestler of the Week!

Other Brute Wrestler of the Week Nominees:

Brian Rossi: Brian won what was the deepest weight class of the weekend. He beat Anthony Bosco, Austin Gomez, and Miguel Silva to win the loaded 3A bracket in Illinois.

Nick Gwiazdowski: Gwiaz had been looking for a signature win all year and now he has one.  The NC State heavy knocked off Northwestern's Mike McMullan.

Kyven Gadson: The Cyclone 97 pounder was already the number 1 guy in the country, but was able to avenge the only losses he had on the year when he knocked off Minnesota’s Scott Schiller.

Edgar Bright:  The True Freshman from Pitt continues to impress this year, this time with a win over All American Evan Henderson of UNC.

Connor Medbery: The Badger big man used some great defense and positioning en route to an upset victory over Iowa’s then ranked #3 Bobby Telford.

Joey Dance: The Hokie 125 pounder has been on a roll lately and knocked off #15 Nick Roberts by a whopping 10-3 score!
