Cowboy Wrestling Begins Practice

STILLWATER—The Oklahoma State wrestling team kicked off the 2013-14 season with its first official team practice on Thursday in the wrestling room in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The squad spent the majority of practice focused on technique.

“We focused on some areas of skills today—areas that are going to be important throughout the year,” coach John Smith said. “There was a lot of enthusiasm in the room today and a lot of good work. It was definitely an exciting way to start the season. You could see it in our group and in their training.”

The Cowboys begin competition on Nov. 17 inside Gallagher-Iba Arena when they take on the Bucknell Bison at 2 p.m.
