Marsden Unable to Advance at Junior Worlds

SOFIA, Bulgaria – Oklahoma State heavyweight wrestler Austin Marsden’s Junior World Championships run was cut short after his first round loss to Georgii Gogaev of Russia.

Gogaev, the 2012 Cadet World Champion, picked up a 7-0 technical fall over Marsden, but was later defeated in the semifinals, knocking Marsden out of the tournament.

Marsden, a sophomore for the Pokes, took a redshirt last year after being pulled from his redshirt late in the 2011-12 season.
