Familiy Reunion - Chandler Cowboys Up

Perhaps the best recruit in the Great Northwest, Chandler Rogers had a bevy of options.
In the end, the 2012 Double Fargo Finalist from Mead, Washington, couldn't pass up the Oklahoma State Cowboys, with 34 NCAA titles, and an opportunity to wrestle with his brother, Jordan, an OSU Freshman.
Most recently, wrestling at 167lbs, Chandler was 3rd at FILA Cadet Freestyle and 2nd in GR. He is ranked 3rd in the nation at 170lbs and appears in the Top 25 recruits in the country for the Class of 2014.
Here's what he had to say about his decision:
WS: Why did you ultimately choose OK State?
CR: I felt like Oklahoma States style of wrestling really fit mine and I think they could do a lot for me.
WS: What was the recruiting experience like for you?
CR: I had an alright experience, I had my mind on OSU already because my brother was there.
WS: What other schools were you considering?
CR: I was looking mostly at OSU but I looked at a couple other schools like Ohio state and Minnesota.
WS: What was more appealing to you? Wrestling with your brother or wrestling for the team with as much tradition as OSU?
CR: They were both very appealing to me because my brother and I work really well together and I think Oklahoma is a very appealing school because of their accomplishments.
WS: What are your plans for the rest of the summer?
CR: I'm going to Fargo at 170 lbs and then going back to Washington to train and hang out.
Congratulations to the Rogers Family and the Oklahoma State Wrestling Community!
