Outside of District 11 in Eastern Pennsylvania, not many knew just how good Aaron Bradley is.
A talented big man from Nazareth, Pa, he surprised many across the state last season when he reached the AAA finals opposite Thomas Haines, the #3-ranked 220lber in the country. After moving up to HWT this season, Bradley made noise when he pushed Brooks Black (Blair Academy, NJ) to overtime in the finals of the Beast of the East.
That would be Bradley's only loss of the season. He went on to win state gold with a pin in the finals, before exacting revenge at Dapper Dan, where he took Black down with a low single for the winning score.
A two-time state finalst, one time champ, and a Dapper Dan winner that's now ranked as the #2 wrestler in the country at a tough-to-find weight, Bradley was the most coveted prospect left in the Class of '13.
While the fit is perfect (Bobby Telford has two years left, and Bradley will take a two-year Mormon mission beginning this summer), his selection of Iowa was a bit of a surprise.
He told Flowrestling after stepping off the mat in Hershey, that his final schools were Cal Poly, Penn St., and Lehigh.
Congrats to Iowa, Aaron Bradley, and the Nazareth wrestling community.
