The NCWA National Championships are LIVE this Weekend
Flowrestling will be live streaming the NCWA National Championships, March 14th through the 16th.  This year's event is held in Allen, TX and is expected to bring in nearly 500 wrestlers from 78 different schools, ranging from former NAIA powerhouses Lindenwood University and McKendree University to prestigious acadmic and tech schools, like MIT, to local squads, like the University of Texas-Austin.

The team race at the NCWA National Championships should be a heated one this year.  The University of Central Florida garnered the most team points during the season and thus come into the tournament ranked #1, based on that criteria, but other schools look to make a big impact as well.  Lindenwood University took the top spot in the coaches poll, while last year's runner-up and 2011 champions, California Baptist University, comes into the tournament ranked in the top 10 as well.  Keep an eye out for Cal Baptist as they've managed to qualify a wrestler in each weight class for the Championships, with three of those wrestlers returning as All-Americans.

The individual race should be extremely exciting as well.  Jose Santiago (UCF) comes into the tournament as the NCWA overall national points leader.  He is currently ranked #1 in the country at 157lbs. after finishing 2nd in the country last year.  Fellow #1 ranked wrestler, Brendan Murphy (McKendree), will be looking to defend his national title at 133lbs this year as will Aaron Thompson (Liberty) at 197lbs.
