Throughout the season, Brute will bring you its National Wrestler of The Week. Wrestlers can be from any age level and will be selected based on their performances from the previous week.

This week’s honors go to Nick Nevills of Clovis, CA.

Nevills, ranked 3rd in the nation, pinned his way to his second state title in single-class California. All of his six consecutive falls came within the first two periods.

Just a Junior, it's scary to think what "Baby" Nevills will be like next year.

Other Candidates:

Nathan Tomasello, Dean Heil, Bo Jordan, OH - each won their 4th state title.

Christian Pagdilao, Santiago, CA - won a tough 145lb bracket for the California State title, beating nationally ranked, Anthony Valencia in the finals.

Adam Coon, Fowlerville, MI - won his 4th state title.

Ben Whitford, St. Johns, MI - capped one of the most productive careers in HS history: four state titles, six Fargo stop signs, and much more in between.

Jake Short, Simley, MN - won his 4th state title.

Wyatt Music, Ashland, OH - ran the gauntlet in a deep 145lb state bracket that included Isaac Bast, Edgar Bright, and Jake Ryan.

Lance Benick, Totino Grace, MN - upset Fargo finalist and Iowa Hawkeye commitment, Broc Berge, in state finals.
