Brackets, Seeds and Meet Times Released for 2013 National Duals Regionals

Oregon State to take on Michigan in rematch of 2012 home dual, while Oklahoma and Virginia Tech will do battle for the right to move onto Minneapolis
MANHEIM, PA – The regional brackets and seeds for the 2013 NWCA/Cliff Keen National Dual Meet Championships
presented by Hibiclens and the Marines have been released for the four qualifier locations listed below. All competition will take place this Sunday, February 17, 2013. Missouri will be the first region to begin competition as they start at 10 a.m. CST, while
all other regions will begin at 1 p.m. in their respective time zones.
The Oregon State region is headlined by two teams that are in the top 10 of the new coaches’ poll. The top-seeded Virginia Tech Hokies come in at No. 7 and will face No. 25
Oklahoma in the first found. Host No. 9 Oregon State is the second seed and will match-up against No. 19 Michigan in front of a home crowd. For the Beavers, their dual with the Wolverines will be a re-match, as the U of M defeated OSU 21-18 at Gill Coliseum
in Nov., 2012.
In the Cornell region, there will be three teams competing ranked in the top 15 of the new USA Today/AWN Division I Coaches Poll. The #10 ranked host Cornell is the top seed
and No. 11 Virginia and No. 13 Nebraska come in as the second and third seeds. Hofstra is the fourth seed and will face Cornell in the first round.
The Kent State region is headlined by #1 ranked Oklahoma State who is the top seed in the bracket. They will be joined by No. 18 Wisconsin and No. 24 Northern Iowa who enter
as the second and third seeds in the region. The host Kent State is the fourth seed and will face Oklahoma State in the first round.
In the Missouri region, the host Tigers come in ranked No. 6 and will face fourth seeded Maryland in the first round. On the bottom side of the bracket, No. 16 Purdue and No.
20 Wyoming come in as the second and third seeds and will face off for a spot in the finals of the region.
The winners of the four regions will advance to the championship final that will take place February 22-23 at the University of Minnesota. They will join the four teams (Illinois,
Iowa, Minnesota, and Ohio State) that received automatic bids to the final.
