The American University wrestling team closes out its road schedule with three matches this weekend. The Eagles open the weekend at Navy on Saturday, February 9 at 7 p.m. before taking on Boston University and Army on Sunday, February 10 at 3 and 5 p.m. in West Point, N.Y. 

American is coming off a 26-14 upset of No. 19 Binghamton last Sunday in Bender Arena. The Eagles won seven bouts in the match and received bonus points from Phillip Barreiro, Keithen Cast and Esteban Gomez-Rivera, with Cast picking up his fourth fall of the year in 5:12.

David Terao and Blake Herrin lead American with 21 and 20 wins, respectively. Herrin owns the team's best mark at 20-6 at heavyweight while Terao has notched eight falls on the year at 125 lbs. Kevin Tao has also had a strong season for the Eagles at 149 lbs. and is 18-10 with six pins and a team-best five major decisions. 

Navy enters the match after a successful weekend at the All-Academy Championship. Seven Midshipmen won titles to help Navy to the team title. Navy's line-up features two ranked wrestlers, who were two of the title-winners over the weekend. Bobby Barnhisel is ranked 20th at 157 lbs. while Matt Miller stands at No. 12 at 174 lbs. in the latest InterMat rankings. The Midshipmen are 4-1 in duals this season, with a 1-1 mark against EIWA opponents.

Boston is 7-5 this year in dual meet competition and fell to Drexel, 22-12, in its last match on Friday. Four Terriers registered decisions, including Kevin Innis at heavyweight, Nick Tourville at 149 lbs., Nestor Taffur at 157 lbs. and Mitchell Wightman at 165 lbs. Taffur is undefeated in duals this season with a 26-6 overall mark. He also leads Boston with seven falls, three technical falls and six major decisions. 

Army's line-up features one ranked wrestler in the latest InterMat polls, No. 18 Daniel Young at 149 lbs. The Black Knights are 5-6 in dual meet competition with a 2-2 record in the EIWA. Army last competed at the All-Academy Championship as well, with three wrestlers earning runner-up finishes.

The Eagles return to Bender Arena on Saturday, February 16 when it takes on Bucknell at 7 p.m. for Senior Day. That match will be broadcast on Eagles Vision TV.
