Amid just his second season competing for the Cream and Crimson, Taylor Walsh is racking up career win and fall totals that could etch his named into the all-time record books at IU.

Entering the weekend, Walsh owns 52 overall victories and 21 pins. The top-10 starts at 114 career wins and 31 falls.

NATIONALLY-RANKED HOOSIERS
Each of IUÂ’s three returning NCAA Qualifiers are ranked amongst the countryÂ’s elite once again this season. This trio of Hoosiers can be found in the most recent national rankings:

BEAT THE BEST TO BE THE BEST
Taylor Walsh and Adam Chalfant have combined to defeat eight nationally-ranked wrestlers this season. Walsh owns a 5-4 mark against the countryÂ’s elite while Chalfant has recorded a trio of triumps over fellow ranked opponents.

BIG TEN DOING BIG THINGS
As a conference, the Big Ten is a combined 68-16 in 84 non-conference duals so far during the 2012-13 campaign, good for a 80.9 winning percentage.

SIGN FOUR IN EARLING PERIOD
Head Coach Duane Goldman and his staff inked four future Hoosiers during the early signing period. The class thus far includes state champions from three different states and an Indiana state runner-up:

JACOB MASENGALE (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian H.S.)
• Ranked as the top 171-pounder in the state of Indiana
• Advanced to the state championship bout as junior, finishing as the runner-up

NEAL MOLLOY (Danville, Ind./Danville H.S.)
• Ranked fourth nationally at 138 pounds and 37th overall
• Indiana State Champion as a sophomore, placed again during junior campaign
• All-American at both the Flo Nationals and Junior Nationals
• Posted a 45-1 record in 2011-12, including 28 falls and a 181-to-4 takedown advantage

BRANT SCHAFER (Saint Johns, Mich./St. Johns H.S.)
• Ranked 16th nationally at 135 pounds
• Michigan State Champion
• 49-1 record during championship junior campaign
• Three-time state placer
• Junior Freestyle All-American

KYLE SPRINGER (Davenport, Iowa/Davenport Assumption H.S.)
• Georgia State Champion (2010; 103 lbs) and Iowa State Runner-Up (2012; 126 lbs)
• Posted a 50-2 record as a junior
• Placed third at Junior Nationals
