Sanshiro Abe was a Nittany Lion standout.  During his time at Penn St., Abe became a 4x All-American and NCAA Champion -he won 3 Big Ten titles as well.  He would later go on two be an Olympian for Japan, and he is currently the head coach at Pittsburgh Central Catholic in PA.  

As a wrestler, "Sunny"Abe was know for his lightning quick leg attacks, among other things.  He had a unique ability to attack from open, and he possesses a great variety of leg attack finishes.  

Here he shows how to finish the single leg from three different positions:

Finishing the Single with a Trip
When his opponent hops away from him Sanshiro will get his leg out on the opposite side of his body. From there he shows 2 different finishing options that you can use.

Leg Lift to Shoulder Finish
If you are trying to finish a high single and can't trip him another option is to get his leg up on your shoulder and finish it from there.

Single Leg Control Neck Finish
From a high single he will control the back of the neck and pull him backwards. If need be he can kick the guy's free leg out from under him.
