Three teams in Flo's Top 25 lead the way at Doc Buchanan, California's deepest in-season tournament. #2-Wyoming Seminary trailed early but pushed four into the semi's and have opened up a 20pt. lead on hosts Clovis, ranke 9th in the latest rankings. #17-Poway is 21.5pts behind Clovis.

The finals are set up nicely. 23 of the 28 finalists are nationally recognized athletes, and premier match-ups at 113, 120, 132, 220, and HWT are on tap.

106lbs: #18-Adrian Camposano, Central, CA  Matt Gamble, Monache, CA

Notes: Camposano has been going strong this season after making the finals of the Freak Show back in November. Gamble was 7th at the Freak Show and just won the Deliddo tournament last week



113lbs: #1-Zahid Valencia, St. John Bosco, CA vs. #17-Israel Saavedra, Modesto, CA 

Notes: Great weight here. In a good final four, Valencia beat Sean Williams and Saavedra beat Isaiah Hokit. Valencia has won just about everything including Fargo and Ironman. Saavedra was a FloNats placer as an 8th grader.



120lbs: #13-Isaiah Locsin, Live Oaks, CA vs. #19-Mason Pengilly, Porterville, CA

Notes: Locsin didn’t place at Ironman, but rebounded to win Reno over Dalton Macri (Canon-Mac), who did. Pengilly is a FloNationals Finalist and Fargo AA.



126lbs: HM-Judson Preskitt, Wyoming Seminary, Pa vs. HM-Vincent Gomez, Frontier, CA

Notes: Preskitt was this year’s Ironman Runner-Up. Gomez beat State Runner-Up, Jonas Gaytan in semi’s and was a Runner-Up at the Freak Show.



132lbs: #1-Aaron Pico, St. John Bosco, CA vs. #13-Javier Gasca, Kingsbury, CA

Notes: Pico is a freshman phenom with 4 Fargo titles to his credit already. Gasca is a defending Doc B Champ. He beat Freak Show Runner-Up, #12-Ali Nasser in semi’s.



138lbs: #13-Anthony Valencia, St. John Bosco, CA vs. Sergio Enloe, Poway

Notes: Valencia is a returning State Champ, Fargo Champ, and FloNats Champ. Enloe is a transfer to Poway who was at Clovis a year ago.



145lbs: HM-Nikko Villareal, Gilroy, CA vs. HM-Vincent Lopez, Poway, CA

Notes: Great final here with two national names. Villareal famously beat Alex Cisneros in state finals last year. Lopez is a state runner-up and Super 32 placer. He beat HM-Coleman Hammond in semi’s.



152lbs: #10-Shayne Tucker, Bella Vista, CA vs. #13-Reed Van Anrooy, Roseburg, OR

Notes: Tucker has been on a roll with placings at Super 32, Ironman, and Reno already this season. Van Anrooy has been a placer at Fargo, Reno, and was the Freak Show Runner-Up to Villareal.



160lbs: #2-Isaiah Martinez, Lemoore, CA vs. Nick Fiegener, Folsom, CA

Notes: One of the finest wrestlers in the country, Martinez won Fargo and Super 32 and was Runner-Up for the second straight year at Ironman. Fiegener was a Fargo GR Runner-Up last summer and is a 2x NHSCA placer.



170lbs: #9-Peter Santos, Oakmont, CA vs. #14-Corey Griego, Sultana, CA

Notes: Santos keeps up the good work. The Freak Show Champ and FloNats placer also placed high at Ironman. He beat Reno Runner-Up #18-Steve Cervantes, in the semi’s. Griego was 5th at State last year and was also a placer at Ironman.



182lbs: #1-Eric Morris, Wyoming Seminary, PA vs. HM-Adrian Salas, Clovis, CA

Notes: Morris is looking to stay undefeated after winning titles this year at Ironman, Beast, and Hurricane Classic. Salas is a two-time state placer and beat fellow HM, Kyle Pope in the semi’s.



195lbs: Mason Kumashiro, Los Alamitos, CA vs. Nick Johnson, Murrieta Valley, CA

Notes: Kumashiro was a Fargo Greco AA last summer. Johnson was 3rd at the Freak Show.



220lbs: #4-Spencer Empey, Reed, NV vs. #11-Garrett Ryan, Wyoming Seminary, Pa

Notes: Empey was 3rd at FloNationals. Ryan was a Fila Champ and placed 3rd at Ironman. Ryan pinned #9-Sean Medley in the semi’s.



HWT: #3-Nick Nevills, Clovis, CA vs. #7-Michael Johnson, Wyoming Seminary, PA

Notes: Nevills was a State Champ as a Freshman and a Runner-Up at FloNats last year. Johnson was a Runner-Up at Ironman and 3rd at the Beast.
