Brute Wrestlers of the Week: Solomon Confirms #1 Status

Throughout the season, Brute will bring you its National Wrestler of The Week. Wrestlers can be from any age level and will be selected based on their performances from the previous week only.
This Week’s honor goes to Ryan Solomon of Milton, a two-time PA State Champion. Solomon confirmed his #1 ranking by winning what was regarded as the deepest weight class at the Beast of the East.
His 195lb bracket contained eight nationally recognized wrestlers. Solomon won in style, majoring HM-Spencer Neff, defeating NJ State Champ Rahzonn Gross, 4-1, and beating #6-Ray O’Donnell 3-1.
Solomon is a six-time Fargo All American and will attend Pittsburgh next year.
Other Candidates:
TJ Miller, Camden Catholic, NJ - Took home the title from the Beast in what was a monster weight class. Miller beat #6-Dylan Milonas, 12-6 in semi’s before posting a 3-1 win over, #9-Jack Clark in the finals.
Isaiah Martinez, Lemoore, CA - Won the Zinkin Classic with an impressive 14-8 major decision over Bo Nickal in the finals. It was a match between the Fargo Cadet and Junior Freestyle National Champions from this past summer.
Bryce Brill, Mount Carmel, IL - Defeated Ironman Champ and 2011 Fargo Champ, Edgar Bright in the finals of the Dvorak Invitational, 2-0.
Brooks Black, Blair Academy, NJ - Black became the first person to win three Beast of The East titles at Heavyweight. He also became just the second wrestler every (to Chris Villalonga) to win six combined titles from the Ironman and Beast.
