Over the last few years, Super 32 has established itself as the deepest folkstyle wrestling tournament in the country. So much so, that’s it’s almost taken on a culture of its own.
There are qualifiers for the tournament springing up across the country. And wrestling fans can’t wait to see who comes out of the gauntlet at each weight and win the coveted belt.
But for the hardcore fans, the excitement even comes sooner: registration.
It may be difficult to believe, but early registration for the tournament is already here. Starting tonight (Tuesday, August 21st) those who meet criteria will be able to put toss their name in the ring for the 2012 edition. The public registration list will be visited daily be fans and coaches across the country in the weeks leading up to the tournament. Weight classes will be broken down on wrestling message boards, everyone making their picks.
It’s never too early to get excited.
Super 32 Early Registration Criteria
- Previous Super 32 placers (any year, High School Division only)
- Top 3 placers from all Varsity High School Individual State Championships, 2011-12 season
- Top 6 placers from Varsity High School Individual State Championships, 2011-12 season, in the following states: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California, Indiana
- Previous Super 32 Middle School Top 3 placers (any year)
- 2012 USAW Cadet & Junior All-Americans (Top 8 placers from Fargo)
