Oregon State Makes
The Trek To Vegas> Oregon State steps away from the dual format
for the weekend when the Beavers make a visit to Las Vegas for the Cliff Keen
Invitational. The tournament is scheduled to run Friday and Saturday from the
Las Vegas Convention Center.

Other Teams There>
Every Pac-12 school will wrestle at the tournament, and will be joined by
schools from across the country such as Cornell, Nebraska, Ohio State, Michigan
and Air Force. OSU wrestlers may also see those from Northern Colorado and
Wyoming, who the Beavers will host in a set of duals in January.
Return To Vegas>
Oregon State will be competing in the tournament for the third consecutive
season, and the Beavers have finished in the top 10 in each of the first two
years. Last season, Colby Covington (174) placed third, Jason Lara (125) took
fourth and Clayton Jack (HWT) was sixth as OSU tallied a No. 10 finish.
The Ranks>
Taylor Meeks broke into the individual rankings for the first time this season
and is as high as 12th nationally. Mike Mangrum and Scott Sakaguchi are both as
high as fifth and Clayton Jack finds his highest ranking at No. 7. Also ranked
by at least one ranking service is James Roberts at 133, Garrett Drucker at 133
and RJ Pena at 157.
If It Happened Based
On Rankings> Oregon State has a good number of wrestlers,
who, if based on rankings, would get good seeds in Las Vegas. Mike Mangrum is
the third-highest rated wrestler at 141, while Scott Sakaguchi is third at 149.
Clayton Jack, meanwhile, would be the highest rated of the wrestlers in the
heavyweight class.
Speaking Of Jack>
Jack is continuing to ascend in the Oregon State record books and could make a
pretty big dent in them this weekend. He has 90 career victories, which is 24th
in OSU career history. When he gets to 100, he will be the 20th OSU wrestler to
hit triple figures, and the first to do so since Eric Jorgensen in 2001.

Perfect>
Four Beavers will take perfect records with them to Las Vegas. Taylor Meeks is
9-0 on the year, while Jack, Sagakuchi and Mangrum are all 8-0 early on.
