Wrestling matchups for the 45th Annual NWCA All-Star Classic presented by the Marines are revealed.

 

Fresno, Calif. – November 11, 2010 – California USA Wrestling and the National Wrestling Coaches Association(NWCA) are teaming up to host the 45th Annual NWCA All-Star Classic presented by The Marines on November 21, 2010 in Fresno, California at the Selland Arena. The highest-ranked collegiate wrestlers from across the nation will compete in the time-honored event. The event features compelling matchups at each weight class as individual competition versus a team style tournament; the result is an atmosphere of gripping anticipation among an unbiased crowd.

 

The athletes participating in this year’s NWCA All-Star Classic are as follows:

133 lbs: #1 Jordan Oliver, So. (Oklahoma St.) vs. #2 Andrew Hochstrasser, Sr. (Boise St.)

141 lbs: #3 Zack Bailey, Sr. (Oklahoma) vs. #5 Germane Lindsey, Sr. (Ohio)

149 lbs:  #4 Torsten Gillespie, Jr. (Edinboro) vs. #5 Kevin LeValley, Sr. (Bucknell)

157 lbs:  #1 Adam Hall, Sr. (Boise State) vs. #4 Bubba Jenkins, Sr. (Arizona State)

165 lbs:  #5 Josh Asper, So. (Maryland) vs. #11 Shane Onufer, Jr. (Wyoming)

174 lbs: #3 Jordan Blanton, Sr. (Illinois) vs. #6 Nick Amuchastegui, Jr. (Stanford)

Out of the twenty athletes competing in the main event, sixteen of them hold the honor of NCAA Division I All-American. Eight out of the eleven Division I conferences will be represented by fifteen universities.
