North Dakota State Wrestling is entering a new conference era with a schedule that features familiar regional rivalries, high-profile nonconference tests and a February stretch that could help shape the Bison's postseason outlook.

NDSU will compete as a Pac-12 affiliate for the first time in 2026-27. The Bison will host eight duals across seven dates at the Scheels Center, including matchups against Michigan State, Oregon State and longtime rival South Dakota State.

With three returning NCAA qualifiers leading the way, here are the reasons to watch North Dakota State's home duals this season on FloWrestling.

3 Returning NCAA Qualifiers Lead North Dakota State

North Dakota State returns three NCAA qualifiers from the 2025-26 season: Ezekiel Witt at 125 lbs, Gavin Drexler at 157 lbs and Devin Wasley at 197 lbs.

Witt earned the No. 16 seed at the NCAA Championships, while Wasley entered the tournament as the No. 22 seed. The trio returns after helping the Bison qualify five wrestlers for the national tournament last season.

Their experience will be important as NDSU navigates a new conference schedule and works toward another NCAA tournament appearance.

UMary Opens The Home Schedule

North Dakota State begins its home campaign Nov. 1 against University of Mary at the Scheels Center.

The matchup gives the Bison an early opportunity to compete in front of their home fans before traveling to the Daktronics Invitational on Nov. 8 in Brookings, South Dakota, and the Sunshine Wrestling Duals at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, on Nov. 14.

Bucknell, Duke And Michigan State Bring Nonconference Tests To Fargo

North Dakota State returns home Nov. 20 to host Bucknell before welcoming Duke and Michigan State for a triangular on Dec. 4.

The matchup against Michigan State stands out as one of the Bison's notable non-conference tests. Hosting two opponents on the same date also gives NDSU a chance to measure its lineup against different styles before the calendar turns to January.

February Home Stretch Features Pac-12 Rivals And South Dakota State

North Dakota State closes its regular-season schedule with four consecutive home duals against conference opponents.

Northern Illinois visits Fargo on Feb. 5, followed by Little Rock on Feb. 6. The Bison then host Oregon State Feb. 14 before wrapping up the regular season against South Dakota State on Feb. 21.

The South Dakota State matchup adds another chapter to one of the region's familiar wrestling rivalries. With both programs entering their first season as Pac-12 wrestling affiliates, the dual will also carry conference significance as the teams prepare for the postseason.
