From returning NCAA qualifiers to a new conference chapter, here are the reasons to watch South Dakota State's home duals live on FloWrestling.
Brady Roark And Returning NCAA Qualifiers Lead The Way
South Dakota State returns several wrestlers with NCAA Championship experience, giving the Jackrabbits a foundation to build on during their first season in the Pac-12.
Brady Roark returns after qualifying for the NCAA Championships, while Cael Swensen and Luke Rasmussen also bring national tournament experience back to the lineup. The trio will be among the wrestlers to watch as SDSU works through a challenging schedule and prepares for the postseason.
With the Jackrabbits having sent at least six wrestlers to the NCAA Championships in each of the past four seasons, following the team's returning talent will be a key storyline throughout the campaign.
Buffalo Opens The Home Dual Schedule
South Dakota State opens its home dual schedule Nov. 7 against Buffalo at First Bank & Trust Arena in Brookings.
The matchup marks the first time since 2018 that the Jackrabbits will open their season at home with a dual. SDSU will then host the Warren Williamson Daktronics Invitational on Nov. 8, giving fans a full weekend of wrestling in Brookings.
The home opener offers an early opportunity to see how the Jackrabbits' lineup comes together before they head to the Tiger Style Invitational and continue their nonconference schedule.
Northern State Brings Another Home Test In November
The Jackrabbits return to First Bank & Trust Arena on Nov. 25 to host Northern State.
The dual gives SDSU another chance to compete in front of its home crowd before the schedule shifts to major tournament events in December and builds toward the start of its Pac-12 schedule in January.
Four Straight Home Duals Put Pac-12 Competition In Focus
South Dakota State returns home in February for four consecutive duals against Pac-12 opponents.
The Jackrabbits will host Little Rock on Feb. 5, followed by Northern Illinois on Feb. 7. Oregon State visits on Feb. 12 before Air Force closes the home stretch on Feb. 14.
The run gives SDSU a chance to compete against four conference opponents in a 10-day span. With the Pac-12 Championships scheduled for March 4-5, the February matchups will be important opportunities to sharpen the lineup and build momentum before the postseason.
For fans, the stretch offers multiple chances to follow the Jackrabbits at home as the conference race approaches its conclusion.
The Pac-12 Transition Adds A New Chapter
The 2026-27 season marks South Dakota State's first as a member of the Pac-12 Conference for wrestling after the program's previous competition in the Big 12.
The Jackrabbits will begin conference dual competition with a four-match road trip in January. They will then return to Brookings for their February home stand before traveling to North Dakota State for the Border Bell rivalry dual on Feb. 21.
The change in conference adds another storyline to the season, with SDSU facing a new group of conference opponents before the Pac-12 Championships in Little Rock, Arkansas.
