Bo Bassett will compete at 65 kg in men's freestyle at the 2026 U23 World Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tournament runs Oct. 12-18 at the Thomas & Mack Center, with men's freestyle competition scheduled for Oct. 16-18.

Bassett is coming off a U20 world title in August and will have an opportunity to win another international championship before competing at the 2026 Senior World Championships later this month.
When Does Bo Bassett Wrestle at U23 Worlds?
Bassett's first matches are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17, when the 65 kg division begins competition.
- Date: Saturday, Oct. 17
- Weight class: 65 kg
- Qualification rounds: 10:30 a.m. PT (1:30 p.m. ET)
- Semifinals: 4:45 p.m. PT (7:45 p.m. ET)
- Medal matches: Sunday, Oct. 18, beginning at 1 p.m. PT (4 p.m. ET)
Bassett's exact bout time and opening opponent will be determined by the bracket, which is scheduled to be announced Thursday, Oct. 15. The qualification rounds and semifinals take place Saturday, while the medal matches for his group are scheduled for Sunday.
What Is at Stake for Bo Bassett?
Bassett enters the U23 World Championships after winning the 65 kg title at the 2026 U20 World Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia. He went 5-0 at the tournament, capped by an 8-2 victory over Japan's Takuto Osedo in the gold-medal match.
He also earned a spot on the U.S. Senior World Team at 65 kg after defeating Real Woods in two straight matches at Final X in September. Bassett is scheduled to compete at the Senior World Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan, from Oct. 24-Nov. 1.
A U23 world title would give Bassett another opportunity to establish himself on the international stage during a busy stretch of competition.
