When Will The 2026 Senior World Championship Brackets Be Released?

The first Senior World Championship brackets are expected to be released Friday, Oct. 23, one day before competition begins.

UWW's international wrestling rules state that the draw for each weight category must take place no later than the day before that category begins competition.

Because the tournament is spread across nine days, the brackets will be released on a rolling basis rather than all at once.

How Will The Brackets Be Released?

The first weight classes scheduled to compete Oct. 24 will have their draws conducted Oct. 23.

Additional brackets will be released as the tournament moves through the different weight classes and styles. This means fans can expect new brackets to become available throughout the event.

The process was also used at the 2025 Senior World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia. The men's freestyle brackets, for example, were released Sept. 12 ahead of competition beginning Sept. 13.

Where To Find The Senior World Championship Brackets

United World Wrestling will publish the official brackets through its event coverage.

Fans can also follow FloWrestling for coverage of the 2026 UWW Senior World Championships, including bracket updates, results and news from Astana.
