Virginia Tech heads into the 2026-27 season looking to build on another strong year under head coach Tony Robie.

The Hokies return one of the nation's most accomplished wrestlers from redshirt in Caleb Henson, a 2024 NCAA champion. Virginia Tech's lineup also features two-time All-American Eddie Ventresca, returning All-American Aaron Seidel and highly touted freshman Bo Bassett, who arrives in Blacksburg as one of the most decorated recruits in the country.

The schedule includes a trip to the National Duals in Tulsa, the Southern Scuffle, several key ACC duals and a challenging non-conference slate featuring Lehigh and Penn.

With a blend of proven veterans and emerging talent, Virginia Tech will once again be among the teams to watch in the ACC and on the national stage.

Key Matchups On Virginia Tech's Schedule

Virginia Tech opens its dual schedule with a road trip to Lehigh on Nov. 6 before beginning a stretch that includes several nationally relevant tournaments and duals.

The National Duals returns to the schedule in December, giving the Hokies an opportunity to face some of the nation's top programs in Tulsa. Virginia Tech also returns to the Southern Scuffle, one of college wrestling's premier in-season tournaments.

ACC competition begins in January with duals against Pitt, Duke, Virginia, North Carolina and NC State. The Hokies won the 2026 ACC Championship and will look to defend their conference crown against another challenging league slate.

Postseason action begins with the ACC Championships in Pittsburgh and the NCAA Championships in St. Louis.

When Are The NCAA Wrestling Championships 2027?

The 2027 NCAA Wrestling Championships are scheduled for March 18-20 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
