When Does The College Wrestling Season Start?
The NCAA wrestling season typically begins in early November, with programs returning to competition after months of preseason training.

How Does The College Wrestling Postseason Work?
After the regular season concludes, teams turn their attention to conference championships and NCAA qualification.
Conference tournaments determine many of the automatic qualifiers for the NCAA Championships and often feature some of the most important matches of the season. Wrestlers then advance to the NCAA Championships, where team and individual national titles are on the line.
For many athletes, the NCAA Championships represent the culmination of an entire season's worth of preparation and competition.
When Are The NCAA Wrestling Championships?
The 2027 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships are scheduled for March 18-20 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.
The event marks the conclusion of the college wrestling season and determines both the individual national champions and the NCAA team champion. Wrestlers must first qualify through the regular season and their respective conference championships before earning a spot in the national tournament.
The NCAA Championships annually feature the nation's top wrestlers across all 10 weight classes and are considered the premier event in college wrestling.
