It’s time for the 2026 Kentucky High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Championships presented by UK HealthCare, and you won’t want to miss any of the excitement from Alltech Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.

Luckily, you don’t have to, as every minute of the action will be streamed live on FloWrestling and the FloSports app.

The event will be held Feb. 26-28 and feature the top boys and girls from across the Bluegrass State.

In the boys/coed competition, four wrestlers in each weight class have advanced from their regional events. Females competing in the coed division are not eligible for the girls-only competition.

The girls field at the state tournament will feature the top four wrestlers from each weight class at the two-region combination regional.

The structure of high school wrestling in Kentucky includes four regions for the girls (Region 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8) and eight regions for the boys (1-8). Regional competition for the girls took place Feb. 13-14, and the boys hit the mats Feb. 20-21.

Now, they’ll share the big stage, though they’ll each have their own time in the spotlight. The boys will compete Feb. 26-27, and the girls will take over the space Feb. 28.

Alltech Arena is part of the expansive Kentucky Horse Park. The KHP opened in 1978 and is the world’s only park dedicated to man’s relationship with horses, a Kentucky staple for more than 200 years.

The arena can seat more than 5,500 fans and has been hosting a variety of events since opening its doors in 2009.

2026 KHSAA Wrestling State Championships Brackets

Here’s where you’ll be able to find the brackets for the 2026 KHSAA Wrestling State Championships:

How Will The Bracket Draw Work For The 2026 KHSAA Wrestling State Championships

Here are some basics for how things will be situated heading into the state tournament:

Boys

  • The format will be a blind draw with the first-place finisher from each regional championship drawing a fourth-place finisher from another regional championship.
  • These regional champions will not be paired with a fourth-place competitor from their own regional championship in an opening match or be placed in the same bracket with the runner-up from their regional championship.
  • The second-place competitors cannot draw a third-place finisher from their own regional championship.

Girls

A random draw will be conducted to pair the regions using the table below, where the draw will specify which region in each weight class represents regions A, B, C and D as listed below.

  • Region A - 1st Place vs. Region B - 4th Place
  • Region D - 2nd Place vs. Region C - 3rd Place
  • Region B - 1st Place vs. Region A - 4th Place
  • Region C - 2nd Place vs. Region D - 3rd Place
  • Region D - 1st Place vs. Region C - 4th Place
  • Region B - 2nd Place vs. Region A - 3rd Place
  • Region C - 1st Place vs. Region D - 4th Place
  • Region A - 2nd Place vs. Region B - 3rd Place

Regions A, B, C and D will be assigned randomly for each weight class.
