In the boys/coed competition, four wrestlers in each weight class have advanced from their regional events. Females competing in the coed division are not eligible for the girls-only competition.
The girls field at the state tournament will feature the top four wrestlers from each weight class at the two-region combination regional.
The structure of high school wrestling in Kentucky includes four regions for the girls (Region 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8) and eight regions for the boys (1-8). Regional competition for the girls took place Feb. 13-14, and the boys hit the mats Feb. 20-21.
Now, they’ll share the big stage, though they’ll each have their own time in the spotlight. The boys will compete Feb. 26-27, and the girls will take over the space Feb. 28.
Alltech Arena is part of the expansive Kentucky Horse Park. The KHP opened in 1978 and is the world’s only park dedicated to man’s relationship with horses, a Kentucky staple for more than 200 years.
The arena can seat more than 5,500 fans and has been hosting a variety of events since opening its doors in 2009.

A random draw will be conducted to pair the regions using the table below, where the draw will specify which region in each weight class represents regions A, B, C and D as listed below.
