Michigan's individual state tournament begins Saturday with individual districts and here are five of the most talent-heavy districts

The quest for Michigan state championships begin this week with individual district tournaments Saturday. The top four finishers advance to individual regionals.
Which districts promise to produce the most fireworks?
Here is a look at fIve of the state's most loaded individual district tournaments:
Division 1
District 5 (at Livonia Stevenson)
A pair of returning state champions and the presence of three-time defending team state champion Detroit Catholic Central makes this arguably Division 1's most star-studded district.
The Shamrocks had more than one wrestler in three different brackets last season and all six of them advanced to the regional. Expect more of the same this season.
The field includes 11 returning state medalists.

This well-balanced district boasts 16 returning state medalists from nine different schools, including host Williamston and Portland, which both moved from Division 3 to Division 2 this season. No other individual district boasts more returning state qualifiers.
