2026 NDHSAA North Dakota Wrestling State Tournament Schedule And Brackets

As if the name FARGODOME alone doesn’t paint the picture of the perfect battleground, the venue soon will be bustling with North Dakota’s top high school wrestlers, all ready to throw down for one of this year’s coveted state championships.

From Feb. 19-21, the multi-purpose facility near downtown Fargo, North Dakota, will welcome hundreds of student-athletes and thousands of fans for the 2026 North Dakota High School Activities Association Boys & Girls Wrestling State Tournament.

The action-packed weekend will include individual and team competition for boys and girls looking to add their names to the record book and add to a tradition that spans nearly seven decades.

Though this tournament won’t be broadcast live on FloWrestling or the FloSports app, each match will appear in the FloWrestling archives minutes after concluding.

Once the first athletes hit the mats Feb. 19, the nonstop battles will feature boys individual and team competition across two classifications (Class A & Class B) and girls individual and team competition in one division.

Formally, it’s the NDHSAA Class A Individual State Tournament, Class B Individual State Tournament, Girls Individual State Tournament, Boys Dual State Tournament and Girls Dual State Tournament.

The boys in North Dakota have been fighting for state titles since 1959, while the dual championships were held for the first time in 2000.

From 1959 through 1968, only Class A existed for the boys, with Class B debuting in 1969.

Girls wrestling joined the championship festivities in 2022, and the dual state championship for the girls came along a year later.

The regional events that will determine the competitors for the state meet will take place Feb. 13-14.

The girls will be split across two regions (East and West) and two locations Feb. 13, and the boys will be separated the same way – two regional events in each classification – on Feb. 14.

The top eight wrestlers in each weight class at each Class B regional event will qualify for the Class B state tournament.

The top eight wrestlers in each weight class from each Class A regional will qualify for the Class A state event.

The team dual tournaments (Class A Boys, Class B Boys, Girls) will feature eight-team, single-elimination competition.

As you get settled in for the new championship season, here’s everything you need to know about the 2026 NDHSAA Boys & Girls Wrestling State Tournament, including links to the brackets.
