2026 NCHSAA State Individual Wrestling Tournaments Schedule & Brackets
State titles will be earned at the 2026 NCHSAA State Individual Wrestling Tournaments, and you can watch live on FloWrestling from Feb. 19-21.

Girls wrestling is relatively new to the championship landscape in North Carolina, but the student-athletes will have the opportunity to add to the sport’s growing popularity and evolving legacy as part of the 2026 NCHSAA State Individual Wrestling Tournaments.
The season-ending events will take place Feb. 19-21 at the 22,000-seat First Horizon Coliseum, part of the Greensboro Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The girls, and then the boys, will have their chance in the spotlight with team and individual state titles on the line.
While boys wrestling has been crowning state champions since 1931, the first state meet for girls took place in 2024.
Once again, all of the action and drama from Greensboro will be broadcast live on live on FloWrestling and the FloSports app.

The individual championships will follow the boys-only 2026 North Carolina High School Athletic Association Dual Team Wrestling State Championships, which will take place Feb. 7 at the Novant Health Fieldhouse, also part of the Greensboro Complex.
The North Carolina Duals will feature eight classifications for the first time, a change from four in recent years. It’s the result of a realignment of the NCHSAA’s member schools, with a maximum of 64 schools in each classification.
The changes won’t be as drastic at the individual state meet, where there will be seven classifications for the boys (1A and 2A are combined) and two for the girls (1A-4A and 5A-8A).
While the boys are fighting for the titles at the dual championships, which the girls don’t have, the girls will begin their quest for individual wrestling glory.
Regional competition for the girls will take place Feb. 6-7, though the boys won’t be far behind. Their regional matches will be held Feb. 13-14, and the ultimate goal for all involved will be to qualify for the state meet Feb. 19-21.
The girls will wrestle Feb. 19-20, and the boys will take center stage Feb. 20-21.
At the first two editions of the Women’s Individual Wrestling Tournament in 2024 and 2025, there was only one division, with Lumberton and Jack Britt claiming the team titles, respectively. Jack Britt was the runner-up at the inaugural event.
Among the champions at the 2025 meet was Weddington’s Breanna D’Leon, who won her second state championship and was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler for her performance in the 144-pound weight class.
On the boys side in 2025, there were three repeat team champions and one first-time winner.
Mount Airy was able to break through for the 1A title, while Seaforth (2A), Union Pines (3A) and Davie (4A) all won for the second straight time.
