The Central Section of the California Interscholastic Federation includes more than 100 schools for boys wrestling, and that list is further divided into five divisions.
As the calendar turns to February, high school wrestling in California enters its postseason, and the journey toward hoisting a state championship trophy begins with a tournament for each division.
All five divisional events for the boys in the Central Section are being contested the weekend of Feb. 13-14, and fans of the 24-team Division IV are in luck.
If they’re not able to be there in person for one, or both, days of the 2026 CIF Central Section Boys Wrestling Division IV Tournament, all of the action will be broadcast live on FloWrestling and the FloSports app.
The tournament is being held at Reedley High School in Reedley, California.

Throughout the entire postseason, teams from Division IV shouldn’t have to travel more than 100 miles or so for any of the events, which is like back-to-back-to-back home meets, while teams from other areas might have to spend quite a bit of time on the California highways, at least when it comes time for the state tournament at the end of the month.
The 2026 state champions will be determined Feb. 26-28 at Dignity Health Arena in centrally located Bakersfield, California. Top to bottom, the Golden State is almost 800 miles long.
But, before the Division IV competitors can start thinking about inviting their friends and neighbors to Bakersfield, they first must survive the Division IV tournament. Then the CIF Central Section Masters Championships on Feb. 20-21.
By the time the divisional weekend comes along, many of the Central Section wrestlers will have been tested against the best, thanks to the new CIF Central Section Team Duals Championships, set for Feb. 7 at Morro Bay High School in Morro Bay, California, and broadcast live on FloWrestling and the FloSports app.
In 2025, the title at the Central Section Boys Wrestling Division IV Tournament went to Golden West with 183.5 points, finishing ahead of Firebaugh (176.5).

Did You Know: High School Championship Wrestling In California Spans Five Decades
The first CIF state championship for boys was held in 1973. The first event for the girls took place in 2011.
Amazingly, it took three decades for California to see its first four-time state champion. That honor went to Bakersfield’s Darrell Vasquez from 1999-2002 at 103, 112, 119 and 125 pounds. In the years since, three more athletes have added their names to the list.
There are 24 three-time champions and 83 wrestlers who have won twice.
On the girls side, five wrestlers own three CIF state titles.
Clovis tops the list of all-time team titles with 13, while the Selma girls lead the way with three.
The Central Section Division IV boys tournament first was held during the 2021-2022 season.
