2026 Georgia Traditional Wrestling State Championships Schedule & Brackets
State titles will be on the line in Georgia (Feb. 11-14), and you’ll be able to see every match in the FloWrestling archives minutes after they conclude.

For high school wrestlers in Georgia, the focus in January has been on the GHSA High School Association Team Dual Wrestling Championships, with the Peach State being one of the associations that facilitates the dual meet for boys and girls.
As the calendar flips to February, attention will shift to the GHSA Traditional Wrestling State Championships and another opportunity for the student-athletes to find their way into the record book. Here’s a link to the girls event.
The journey to the Clayton Country Convocation Center in Morrow, Georgia, from Feb. 11-14, will begin with regional/area tournaments, followed by sectional competition.
When it’s time to wrestle for the 2026 individual state titles, the action won’t be broadcast live on FloWrestling, but the matches will be archived on FloWrestling and the FloSports app minutes after they conclude.

The 2026 GHSA Boys Team Dual Wrestling State Championships took place Jan. 16-17, and the 2026 GHSA Girls Team Dual Wrestling State Championships is set for Jan. 24.
There won’t be much of a break in the action, with the traditional wrestling regional and area tournaments taking place Jan. 30-31 and sectional competition (known in Georgia as state tournaments) to follow Feb. 6-7.
The final destination? The 2026 GHSA Traditional Wrestling State Championships at the Clayton Country Convocation Center in Morrow from Feb. 11-14.
The individual side of high school wrestling in Georgia includes separate competitions for Class A through 6A, plus a classification for girls.
Class A, 2A and the girls field are divided into eight areas each for the postseason, while Class 3A-6A are split into eight regions each.
From the area/regional events, the top four wrestlers in each weight class advance to the next round of competition, which is known in Georgia as state tournaments. However, that’s not the end of the line, as the top performers from the state tournaments move on to the state championship finals.
The top eight boys in each weight class, and the top four girls from each weight class at the state tournaments will earn spots in the state championships.
Sure, it all may sound hard to follow for fans, but for the wrestlers, the strategy is simple – keep wrestling and keep winning until someone hands you a trophy!
In 2025, there were 98 individual state champions and placers across the boys and girls divisions.
Team titles also were awarded at the 2025 GHSA Traditional Wrestling State Championships, with five of the six winners from the 2025 GHSA Dual Wrestling State Championships winning at the traditional meet, too.
