2026 CIF Central Section Duals Schedule & Brackets
2026 CIF Central Section Duals Schedule & Brackets
A new event this season, the 2026 CIF Central Section Team Duals Championships, will give teams one more opportunity to see where they rank heading

Under the umbrella of the California Interscholastic Federation, are 10 geographic sections that further divide the schools and teams into more manageable pieces as they work toward the season-ending state championships.
The CIF sections then are divided again, with multiple divisions adding another layer to the process.
In the CIF Central Section, which includes 100 wrestling programs, the teams are split into five divisions. Each division has its own tournament to decide the sectional qualifiers, who then get the opportunity to wrestle their way into the state championships.
However, there’s a new event on the Central Section agenda that will give teams one more opportunity this year to see where they rank heading into the individual postseason events.
The 2026 CIF Central Section Team Duals Championships will take place Feb. 7 at Morro Bay High School in Morro Bay, California, and all of the action will be broadcast live on FloWrestling and the FloSports app,

The Central Section divisions this year include anywhere from 13 to 29 schools, though only eight teams from each division – selected by a seeding committee – will make it to the Central Section Duals.
The tournament will have brackets for each of the five boys divisions, along with the one division for girls.

Did You Know: It's Really Hard To Win A State Title In California
The first CIF state championship for boys was held in 1973. The first event for the girls took place in 2011.
Amazingly, it took three decades for California to see its first four-time state champion. That honor went to Bakersfield’s Darrell Vasquez from 1999-2002 at 103, 112, 119 and 125 pounds. In the years since, three more athletes have added their names to the list.
There are 24 three-time champions and 83 wrestlers who have won twice.
On the girls side, five wrestlers own three CIF state titles.
Clovis tops the list of all-time team titles with 13, while the Selma girls lead the way with three.
